June 11, 2009 -- 3-GIS, an Alabama based software development and services company, will exhibit at the Public Power Expo at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Public Power Expo, which is held in conjunction with the American Public Power Association (APPA) National Conference will take place June 15-16, 2009.
3-GIS will exhibit with ESRI in booths 604 and 606. 3-GIS will demonstrate its thin-client suite of products which consists of Network Express GIS, Field Express Chameleon mobile GIS and Express Conductor to representatives from the 2,000 community-owned electric utilities that make up the members of APPA. 3-GIS will also demonstrate its newest application, Buzz, a mobile viewing solution built specifically for BlackBerry smartphones.
“We are thrilled to exhibit our solutions to the APPA members from across the country,” says Dan Brooks, 3-GIS Vice-President of Sales. “We have several competitively priced business models, including our companion to the ESRI Small Utility Enterprise License Agreement, which will be attractive to publicly owned electric utilities.”
ESRI introduced its SU-ELA program in early 2009 to give small utilities access to a wide range of geographic information system (GIS) software. With the ESRI SU-ELA, utilities receive selected unlimited deployments of the ArcGIS platform, maintenance, and support for products for an affordable, fixed price that is paid annually over a three year term.
The 3-GIS Companion ELA abides by all terms of the ESRI SU-ELA and additionally offers access to the 3-GIS Suite of products, an ArcGIS Server based suite of thin-client asset management tools. With the 3-GIS Companion ELA, small utilities get a limitless mix of all 3-GIS licenses with no worries about usage spikes, denial of service or future scalability.
