According to market research firm In-Stat, the transition to digital cable TV in China is proceeding rapidly in all parts of the country. Along with this shift, the digital cable set-top box industry also experienced phenomenal growth, with total digital cable STB shipments reaching 11 million in the first half of 2008, double the previous year's figure.
