ModernTech Corporation to Sponsor ModernTech Mechanical’s Layoff Payoff Program

Knoxville, TN (April 6, 2009) – ModernTech Corporation will sponsor ModernTech Mechanical’s “Layoff Payoff Program,” offering displaced engineers and designers free SolidWorks 3D CAD software, training, Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) certification, and free job placement services. Launching in April 2009, ModernTech Mechanical’s Layoff Payoff program will run through the end of June 2009.

“We feel it is our duty to provide displaced industry colleagues with the necessary tools to stay current on training and skills,” says Joe Kirby, ModernTech Corporation CEO. “Through our three divisions, we are fortunate to be able to provide expertise across various industries, including mechanical 3D CAD software, AEC design and engineering software and training services, and technical staffing.”
Registrants will receive a free 90-day trial of SolidWorks Standard and SolidWorks eDrawings software compliments of SolidWorks, and a 3 hour hands-on test drive training session hosted at one of ModernTech Mechanical’s locations across the Southeast. Upon completion of and passing an exam, attendees will also receive a CSWA certificate.

ModernTech Corporation’s technical staffing firm, M Force, will provide additional resources including a job seeker resource guide, free career placement services, and premium placement in their employer database. Both ModernTech Mechanical and M Force will supply all attendees with coupons good for discounts on any future training, resume writing services, software and subscriptions the attendee should require.

To qualify for the free program, candidates must be a designer or engineer who within the last 12 months, were displaced from a position where 2D or 3D CAD tools were used. Candidates must additionally provide proof of unemployment in the form of a current statement of unemployment benefits.
