The Intertraffic China 20 was initiated by the China Academy of Transportation Sciences ("CATS"). CATS is the largest research institute under the Ministry of Communication of the People's Republic of China. The exhibition aims to provide a platform for leading domestic and international companies in the transportation sector to share the latest technology development trends, research achievements, and business solutions and applications. Over 600 industry professionals and experts participated in the exhibition in 2008, with about half of attendees representing international companies. The international corporate participants at the 2009 Intertraffic China 20 event include Siemens, PTV Group, 3M, Gatsometer, and Gruen GmbH.
