March 13, 2009 -- Stennis Space Center, MS — Skylla Engineering is pleased to announce an expansion of corporate operations at Stennis Space Center in South Mississippi. The expansion is a result of the awarding of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Technical Services contract in July, 2008 to support the activities of the Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) including testing, electronic repair, calibration, information management, logistics, and customer service as well as the hiring of Tim Brogdon as their new Executive Vice President.
“Skylla has invested in this area because we believe there is tremendous growth potential in both civilian and military activities in the Gulf Coast region,” stated Brogdon. “I am extremely excited to be a part of Skylla Engineering and equally excited about our expansion opportunities in the Southeastern Region.” As Executive Vice President, Brogdon is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic growth plan for the South Eastern Region in conformance with the overall Skylla Engineering strategic plan.
Since beginning operations in 2004, Skylla Engineering has grown to nearly 120 employees providing program management, logistics management, and analytical and technical services and solutions from facilities in Virginia, South Carolina, NASA’s Stennis Space Center in South Mississippi, and the company’s headquarters in Humble, TX. They also have representatives in California, North Carolina, and Okinawa, Japan.
