(Jan. 30, 2009/Harrisburg, Pa.) Debra Houser was recently promoted to director of application development of GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in geospatial solutions. Based at the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., Houser is responsible for leading the firm’s technology development staff and directing enhancements to existing projects and applications.
Houser has more than 12 years of experience in software development and IT management. Her areas of expertise include organizing system development life cycles, managing large teams of developers, and coordinating complex problem solving initiatives. Prior to assuming her new role, Houser served as senior development manager, where she was responsible for designating tasks to developers assigned to GeoDecisions’ patented IRRIS® technology program. IRRIS is an enterprise Web portal that supports transportation security and logistics for U.S. state and federal agencies.
