Jan. 26, 2009 -- Harrisburg, PA -- Anthony J. Pietropola was recently named president of GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in geospatial solutions. Based at the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., Pietropola is responsible for directing the firm’s operations nationwide.
Pietropola has more than 20 years of experience in the geospatial technology industry. His areas of expertise include managing a national marketing effort, maintaining client relationships, and establishing corporate partnerships.
Prior to assuming his new role, Pietropola served as senior vice president of GeoDecisions, where he was responsible for marketing and consulting services for planning, designing, implementing, and managing the firm’s IT and geographic information system (GIS) projects.

Pietropola holds a bachelor of arts in natural science from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Committee on Geographic Information Science and Applications for the Transportation Research Board and the Advisory Board for the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania.
