NVIDIA Supercharges Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 Software With Quadro CX Bundle

January 23, 2008 - Professional video editors looking to purchase the ultimate Adobe(r) Premiere(r) Pro CS4 experience, need to look no further. Starting today, the creative professional can acquire a copy of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and add a NVIDIA(r) Quadro(r) CX at more than 40% off of the retail price, a savings of $800 USD.

The addition of the Quadro CX will deliver unmatched performance with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, including the ability to encode H.264 videos up to 4 times faster. Specifically, what used to take 10 hours to encode a one hour Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 project to H.264 on a Dual-Core CPU, now takes two hours and 35 minutes.

This new bundle is available today, from leading resellers, e-tailers and retailers at an introductory price of $1,999 USD until March 31, 2009. Following the introductory offer, the Quadro CX and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 bundle will be available at an estimated street price of $2,299 USD (sold separately, the Quadro CX would sell at $1,999 (MSRP) and the Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for $799).

"NVIDIA specifically designed and optimized the Quadro CX graphics card to enhance the performance of Adobe Creative Suite(r) 4 Production Premium and meet the unique needs of its creative professional users," said Jeff Brown, general manager of the Professional Solutions Group at NVIDIA. "We worked closely with Adobe on GPU optimization to achieve benchmark-busting performance and enhance the already rock-solid stability of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. The results are astonishing."

These two industry-leading products complement each other to form a desktop video editing solution that takes full advantage of the new GPU-optimized features of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 to provide professionals with fast, reliable ways to achieve a high level of productivity.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 users can take advantage of the Quadro CX GPU to accelerate high-quality video effects such as motion, opacity, color and image distortion. Quadro CX also enables faster editing of multiple high-definition video streams and graphic overlays and provides a variety of video output choices for high-quality preview, including DisplayPort uncompressed 10-bit or 12-bit SDI.

"Breakthrough innovations in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 are driving demand for the newest version of Adobe's intelligent post-production solution," said Giles Baker, group product manager for editing workflows, Dynamic Media at Adobe. "By drawing on the encoding acceleration and visualization strengths of the Quadro CX, the already powerful editing features of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 are enhanced, which provides productivity advantages for our customers."

Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 is the definitive start-to-finish, cross platform solution that allows video production professionals to capture, edit and deliver video content online, on air, on disc and on device. Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 has been re-architected for 64-bit operating systems to use large amounts of memory more effectively and leads the way in delivering open, flexible post-production workflows by providing virtually seamless project exchange with Final Cut Pro, Digidesign Pro Tools, and Avid workflows. Including Adobe OnLocation(tm) CS4 and Adobe Encore(r) CS4 software, the powerful and intuitive tools of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 push the boundaries for digital video production and allow editors and filmmakers to tell their story with maximum impact.
