The discussion will focus on how TLM-2 from OSCI, the most recent draft standard for transaction-level modeling further increases tool interoperability for virtual platforms containing memory-mapped busses and on-chip communication networks. In addition, the panel will discuss how OSCI provides an essential framework needed for model exchange within companies and across the intellectual property (IP) supply chain as well as the future of ESL interoperability.
“The new TLM-2 standard defines the framework for building environments for architectural exploration, performance analysis and the creation of virtual platforms for software development,” said Ross Dickson, principal technology specialist at Virtutech. “These systems require coherent standards such as TLM-2 because of their complexity. This is a big step towards establishing a system-level modeling, design and verification ecosystem.”
