ROCHESTER, NY – August 4, 2008 – Pictometry International Corp., a leading provider of geo-referenced aerial image libraries whose proprietary technology is used globally to capture oblique image libraries, announced today that it is offering a free seven-hour course for 9-1-1 professionals at its upcoming FutureView conference October 27-29 in San Antonio.
The course, called Introduction to Next Generation 9-1-1, will be presented by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) on October 27, prior to the start of the FutureView Conference. The course will focus on the impact Next Generation 9-1-1 will have on the 9-1-1 community as popular new technologies, such text and video messaging, are integrated into emergency call answering capabilities.
Up to 50 FutureView registrants will be able to register. Upon completion, attendees will earn one credit toward ENP (Emergency Number Professional) certification or recertification. FutureView attendees from 9-1-1 or public safety are eligible and can register at
