This product features the capability of reproducing 1.6 million colors and supporting VGA (640X480) and WVGA (800X480) resolution levels. It is designed to be applied to various mid-sized applications such as ultra mobile PCs, personal mobile players, personal navigation devices, car navigation systems and digital video cameras. The chip also supports the LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) interface, which is widely adopted for mid-sized applications.
The most distinct feature of this product is that it is one of the first of its kind to support WSVGA (1024X600) resolution. Further, the solution is optimized for web browsers and utilizes compact designs that allow for leeway in module design.
Tae Young Hwang, Executive Vice President and General Manager of MagnaChip's Display Solutions Division said, "We have further strengthened our roadmap for mid-sized products with development of this mid-sized TFT-LCD driver chip. We will continue to focus on developing competitive products with multiple functions to serve the growing demand for devices with mid-sized displays."
