CSR Expands Deployment of Novas Verdi and Siloti Solutions for Enhancing Verification

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—May 5, 2008— Novas Software, Inc., the leader in debug and visibility enhancement solutions for complex chip designs, today announced that CSR (LSE:CSR), a wireless solutions provider and leader in Bluetooth technology, is expanding its deployment of Novas debug automation and visibility enhancement solutions to enhance its verification methodology. The multi-year agreement between the two companies significantly increases the number of user licenses for Novas Verdi Automated Debug System available to CSR development teams in Cambridge, U.K. and now also in its Sweden location.

With this latest agreement, CSR is also integrating Novas award-winning Siloti Visibility Enhancement product into its verification environment to optimize simulation performance. This follows an extensive evaluation during which Siloti essential signal analysis capabilities enabled CSR engineers to achieve faster simulation and smaller waveform data files compared to conventional methods. Additionally, CSR expects to launch pilot projects with the Siloti gate-to-RTL correlation technology to further accelerate debug.

CSRs approach to chip design is based on extremely high levels of integration, providing compelling performance and cost advantages to wireless OEMs. This places an extraordinary burden on the verification team to quickly comprehend the cause-and effect of unexpected design behavior without the overhead of lengthy simulation cycles. Novas Verdi and Siloti products have delivered a combination of automation technologies that have increased the efficiency of the debug process and enabled CSRs engineers to spend more time on design.

It is our privilege to work with CSR, an industry leader at the forefront of innovation, said Paul Gibson, vice president of European Sales for Novas. Our long-term relationship has given us the opportunity to understand the verification challenges CSR engineers face and whats important to them. This is key to our mutual success and fundamental to our mission of providing value to the Novas user community with solutions that enhance their verification environments.
