April 11, 2008 – Detroit – INCAT, a global leader in Engineering Services Outsourcing (ESO) and Product Development IT services, is expanding its successful User Group Web Chapter program with the addition of the Autodesk Inventor® User Group Web Chapter with an inaugural Webcast on April 23. The program – the first of its kind in the industry – was launched more than a year ago with live Webcasts for the AutoCAD Electrical User Group Web Chapter and the Data Management User Group Web Chapter. Growth of user participation and demand for wider scope has driven this expansion.
“These User Group Web Chapters are ideal for users who, because of location or time limitations, cannot attend face-to-face User Group meetings in their states or regions,” said Kevin Robinson, INCAT Autodesk Customer Solutions Manager. “This experience gives them the same opportunity to address current user issues, sharpen their skills, learn ‘tips and tricks,’ and network with their peers; all in a convenient, easy to access forum.”
The Webcasts are timed to coincide with regional lunch hours, Robinson noted, making them convenient for users and eliminating lost productivity for the organizations in which the users work. The Autodesk Inventor User Group Web Chapter Webcast set for April 23 will present current 3D topics, detail how 3D can enhance business processes, and will provide insight to users and organizations considering a move to 3D technology.
“INCAT has been building and nurturing this virtual community for more than three years, to help engineers help each other get the most from their Autodesk Manufacturing software,” said Dawn Collins, INCAT Marketing Specialist, who manages the User Group network. “Our User Group program provides users access to the knowledge and expertise of INCAT professionals with more than 200 years of combined industry experience.”
In addition to the User Group Web Chapters, INCAT maintains a traditional User Group program that has been growing steadily for the past 18 months in metro Detroit; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Dayton, Ohio; Rosemont, Ill.; and Tampa, Fla.
All INCAT User Group meetings – live and via the internet – are run by the INCAT ‘CAD Geeks’ – the company’s industry-leading team of Application Engineers. This same team offers daily learning opportunities at the INCAT CAD Geeks blog.
“We take pride in delivering the best available information to users that helps them immediately become more productive; and in fostering an environment in which user members share information that has immediate real-world applications,” said Collins.
