Santa Barbara, California, USA and Lyon, France - March14th 2008 - Datakit, a Leading Cad Data Exchange Company, announced today that it is is launching two new stand-alone CAD data conversion modules: JT to VRML and JT to STL.
François Cadin, Datakit CEO explains: “our company’s vocation is to facilitate inter-company collaboration in industry. These interfaces have been developed not only for use by design offices but also for anyone in the organization who wants to share and view CAD data. Our solutions take all the pain out of exporting 3D data from JT to other formats.”
The new solutions support faceted data and any NURBS surfaces and Parasolid entities present in the JT files. They support multiple tessellation with different levels of details (LODs). They also support rich information conserving the associativity with the original CAD data (product structure: parts, assemblies, instances, nodes, precise geometry, attributes and properties: texts, integers, floating point, dates, filters, etc.).
Datakit’s development team drew immense satisfaction from solving the different problems encountered in analyzing and mastering JT’s compression and storage methods. The solutions are available for download in the CrossCad/STA range from the
www.datakit.com Web site. They run on 32- and 64-bit Windows XP, vista and server environments, and support JT versions 6.4 thru 8.
