OPEN MIND Technologies USA, Inc. will debut its hyperMILL version 9.7 CAM software at the Performance Racing Industry show, from December 6-8 in Orlando, Florida. Included in this version is the first public demonstration in North America of the integrated hyperMILL in Solidworks product. OPEN MIND will be located in Booth 5005.
OPEN MIND will also feature a "customer hour" with representatives from Advanced Induction Cylinder Head Development available to speak with attendees about their experiences with hyperMILL.
hyperMILL in Solidworks
hyperMILL in Solidworks combines the popular Solidworks CAD system with the high-performing hyperMILL CAM system. hyperMILL is fully integrated in Solidworks 2007 and 2008, meaning that the customer can work concurrently in both CAD and CAM environments and not have to pass data between them. hyperMILL can track model changes and uses the CAD system for common manufacturing functions. The hyperMILL manufacturing process data is also stored within the Solidworks file to simplify tracking of complete part process data.
hyperMILL provides manufacturing solutions for 2.5D, 3D, HSC, and 5-Axis milling, as well as hyperMILL millTURN, all in one user interface. Included are also specialty solutions dedicated to end markets includes cylinder head porting, and multi-blade and single-blade turbomachinery. OPEN MIND staff writes dedicated postprocessors to ensure compatibility of the software with machine tools, controllers, and manufacturing processes.
OPEN MIND currently has received Solution Partner status with Solidworks. OPEN MIND has also applied to be designated as a Certified Gold CAM Partner.
hyperMILL v9.7 also includes updates to integrated versions in hyperCAD®, thinkDesign®, ProENGINEER® Wildfire™ and Autodesk® Inventor™, supporting current versions of these CAD platforms.
Advanced Induction available during "Customer Hour"
Also featured at this show will be a "customer hour" with Phil and Ron Odom of Advanced Induction Cylinder Head Development. They will be available at the OPEN MIND booth from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM each day and will be available to speak directly with customers, prospects, and attendees, to provide their experiences with hyperMILL and its impact on their manufacturing capabilities.
Advanced Induction purchased a hyperMILL license following PRI 2006, and has implemented the software successfully on a DMG 80T 5-axis milling machine. More information about Advanced Induction can also be found at
