Axis Technologies' Green Product Featured in Chicago Sun Times as Nominee for 2007 Chicago Innovation Award

LINCOLN, Neb.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 17, 2007— Axis Technologies Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AXTG) is pleased to announce that on Monday, September 17, 2007 the company was listed in an article in the Chicago Sun Times as a nominee for the 2007 Chicago Innovation Award. Axis Technologies, Inc. was nominated along with 250 other companies including high profile industry icons like Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT) , NEC Display Solutions (NASDAQ:NIPNY) , Kraft Foods (NYSE:KFT) and other respected organizations such as the American Diabetes Association and the City of Chicago, Department of Buildings--Green Permit Incentive Program. Each company responsible for the innovations will be honored Thursday at a reception at the CME Group's Chicago Board of Trade trading floor, one of the sponsors of the program created six years ago by Chicago consultancy Kuczmarski & Associates and the Chicago Sun Times.

The Axis product line consists of a series of energy saving daylight harvesting ballasts designed to reduce the amount of electrical energy used in conjunction with commercial lighting, which accounts for up to 23% of all electrical usage in the U.S. The Axis ballast is an easy to install retrofit device that automatically reduces electrical usage when natural daylight is available.

"We consider it an honor to be nominated and included amongst the many fine companies that are a part of this award program. We have been receiving a lot of very positive press as of late and we expect it to continue as the media and public become aware of the tremendous savings associated with Axis products," said Jim Erickson, President of Axis Technologies, Inc.

About the Axis DDH Ballast

A "ballast" is an electronic component that regulates voltage in fluorescent lighting. Axis Technologies Group, Inc. has developed an innovative new ballast with the aim of expanding daylight harvesting into mainstream fluorescent lighting applications. The patented Axis Dimming/Daylight Harvesting Ballast is a new technology that transforms the ballast, a once standard lighting industry staple, into a dynamic energy saving system that can reduce lighting energy costs by up to 70%. The Axis DDH Ballast utilizes an individual photo sensor to automatically adjust the amount of electrical current flowing to the light fixture, and then dims or increases lighting in conjunction with the amount of available sunlight that may be harvested from available windows and sunlight. The Axis DDH Ballast avoids "over-lit" conditions that increase energy costs by keeping lighting "tuned" to the desired level in a designated area.

About Axis Technologies Group, Inc.

Axis Technologies Group, Inc. conducts its business through a wholly owned subsidiary, Axis Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska. Axis Technologies, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a proprietary line of energy-saving and daylight harvesting electronic dimming ballasts for the commercial lighting industry. In 2002, Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved Axis products for sale in both the United States and Canada.
