SEATTLE, September 12, 2007: Washington CEO magazine has named Dexter + Chaney ( www.dexterchaney.com) to its 2007 “High Tech 50” ranking of the top technology firms in the state of Washington. It’s the latest in a series of listings that Dexter + Chaney, developer of Spectrum(TM) Construction Software, has made for its size or growth rate.

Dexter + Chaney placed 37th in the “High Tech 50,” published in Washington CEO’s August issue, with 71 Washington-based employees. Companies were ranked by employment in the state; to qualify for the list, a company must have spent at least 10 percent of its budget on research and development. Biomedical and biotechnology firms—and other technology firms in addition to software developers—were eligible for the ranking.

Washington CEO (circ. 27,000) is a regional publication written for corporate executives, business owners and other business professionals. Besides the “High Tech 50,” Dexter + Chaney regularly makes local and trade rankings, including Software Magazine’s “Software 500” listing of the world’s largest software and services providers.

“The ‘High Tech 50’ and other rankings demonstrate that Spectrum is critical to our clients’ success,” said John Chaney, Dexter + Chaney co-founder and president. “The listings validate the success of our efforts to offer a product, backed by service and support, that helps our clients manage their busy construction businesses.”

Chaney noted that Dexter + Chaney’s 1,000-plus construction-company customers throughout the United States manage more than $21.6 billion in construction projects annually. That would place Dexter + Chaney’s combined clients 108th on the Fortune 500 ranking of America’s largest corporations—ahead of McDonald’s, Goodyear and Coca Cola. Altogether, Dexter + Chaney clients process more than 12 million checks to employees and suppliers and have more than 112,800 employees.
