Leading Image Sensor Company Standardizes on Laker for Custom IC Design
The selection of Laker represents an important milestone in PixArt's on-going efforts to improve overall design productivity. "We are continuously exploring innovative approaches to improve our custom layout productivity and to accelerate our time-to-market schedules" said Ian Wang, Dept. Deputy Manager of the Design Support Department at PixArt. "Laker can handle large designs much more efficiently than any other tool due to its super fast database engine and hierarchy net tracing capabilities. These features save us time and offer the capability to layout complete complex SoC chips," he added. "With its unique combination of performance, accuracy, capability and ease of use, Laker allows us to compete even more effectively against other leading manufacturers in this market segment."
Laker L3 is the next generation full-custom layout solution. Already proven at over 250 customers worldwide, Laker provides the total solution for full-custom layout projects by being able to produce handcrafted layout quality in half the time of other layout editors. "We are very pleased to be able to help PixArt improve their layout productivity and reduce their time-to-market" said Johnson Teng, Executive Vice President of Silicon Canvas. "We look forward to a long term business relationship with PixArt. As always, we commit to supporting our customers diligently and delivering advanced features to help them compete and win in their respective markets."
