April 23, 2007, Beaverton, Oregon — Axium today released Ajera 3.3, a significant update to its award-winning accounting and project management software. Clients are now able to take advantage of Microsoft Reporting Services in the easy-to-use Ajera. In addition, credit card and expense report tracking is now available. The interface has been revamped to include a Project Command Center, which provides quick and easy access to all project and financial information.
Migrating from Crystal Reports to Microsoft® Reporting Services is paramount in providing Ajera clients with the best technology at an affordable price. The new reporting functionality offers more flexibility, increased processing speed, and its ease-of-use will quickly make it the dominate choice among architectural and engineering firms (A/E). The alternative reporting tools often require a specialized technical expert on staff, which most A/E firms cannot justify financially. In addition, the cost of the alternative tools is significant to a firm and must then be passed on to the customer. Integrating Ajera with Microsoft Reporting Services provides clients with the extensive reporting tools they need to manage their firm without a prohibitive cost.
“Ajera 3.3 delivers client-driven enhancements and new features that align with our corporate philosophy and product goals,” said Ilene Ingram, Axium Vice President of R&D. “Ajera 3.3 takes a huge step forward with the integration of Microsoft Reporting Services and the Project Command Center. Clients will be able to easily track all project and budget information with just a couple clicks, from a single location.”
Ajera’s new Project Command Center combines the functionality of the Dashboard and Project Setup into one interface. All project data is accessible from the Project Command Center, which includes a Budget tab, where all project and phase level budget detail is consolidated - and hours, cost and contract amounts are easily entered for all phases. A new Snapshot report, which reports the day-to-day execution of a project, is also available from the Project Command Center. At a glance, the report shows billed, spent, and WIP amounts, as well as hours worked, to-date. The Snapshot report also provides clients the ability to drill down to view project detail by labor, expense, and consultant.
“I never knew how well or poorly we were performing against a project budget without spending a considerable amount of time trying to figure it out by hand or with Excel® spreadsheets. It was so cumbersome with Quickbooks® it wasn’t even worth the effort,” stated Andrew T. Sumulong, KYA Design Group. “As a result, we didn’t know our status until monthly invoices were prepared and by then it was too late. With Ajera, all of this information is now just a click away.”
Axium’s Ajera 3.3 is a great advancement with the integration of Microsoft Reporting Services and the new interface, Project Command Center. The release also includes many client requested enhancements to project reports, security options. It also adds credit card tracking and expense reports to the software.
