Previously as the President and CEO of Tharas Systems, a venture funded start-up which was recently acquired by EVE, Inc., Shastry assumes the position with a long record of EDA and entrepreneurial leadership. Experienced in both domestic and international markets, he has held a number of executive and business management positions with Cadence Design Systems, Triquest Design Automation, and Viewlogic Systems.
Based out of Nascentric's San Jose office, Shastry will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Company including engineering, sales, finance, and administration. As the liaison to the Board of Directors, he will manage all strategic financial planning and fund raising efforts.
"Rahm comes to Nascentric with a proven track record and fresh vision for the Company," said Jim Solomon, Nascentric Board Member, founder of SDA which later became Cadence Design Systems and the 1997 Phil Kaufmann Award recipient. "Leveraging his energy as well as his many years of EDA and start-up experience he's precisely the person we need to lead the Company in its efforts to build industry awareness, establish world-wide sales channel and create long-term customer relationships."
Shastry's EDA start-up experience and familiarity with the venture funding community has had an immediate impact on Nascentric. He has recently helped to close additional financial backing from investors, which will be used to fund the expansion of its engineering, sales and support staff and further the creation and sales of the Company's state-of-the-art solutions.
