In the crisp mountain air of Colorado, SIGGRAPH 2024 is set to make a triumphant return to its roots. As Boulder, Colorado, was the birthplace of the very first SIGGRAPH conference, the state holds a special place in our hearts, and we owe everything to the vibrant and innovative spirit of Colorado. As we return to our roots for the next conference in 2024, we asked the SIGGRAPH 2024 Committee, “Why Denver?”
Andrés Burbano, SIGGRAPH 2024 Conference Chair, shares his enthusiasm, “Not exactly Denver, but Boulder, Colorado, was the birthplace of SIGGRAPH, the first conference was hosted there. We owe everything to Colorado.”
This year, we’re reaching new heights by engaging with local companies, offering a platform for emerging geospatial software giants, aerospace industry startups, and more. The exhibition will be a melting pot of cutting-edge technology and creative brilliance. Burbano adds, “We are trying to interface with local companies who can find a place within the SIGGRAPH exhibition and there are many, from Sparkfun to a series of geospatial software companies who help to establish the field to the new aerospace industry startups (that use CG and interactive techniques) based in Colorado Springs.”
The Colorado Convention Center (CCC) stands as a testament to Denver’s commitment to excellence. Boasting an “extra-large, super-cool ballroom” with a breathtaking view, it sets the stage for an unforgettable SIGGRAPH experience.
