New HSDPA Compliant WCDMA Power Amplifiers Enable High Data Throughput and Longer Battery Life
"The migration of 3G WCDMA technology to the HSDPA standard enables a new class of wideband services for consumers while simultaneously raising the bar on the power consumption requirements of mobile products," said Dr. Ali Khatibzadeh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Wireless Products at ANADIGICS. "ANADIGICS' latest generation of HSDPA complaint WCDMA power amplifiers utilizes our innovative HELP(TM) technology to offer best-in-class power consumption for mobile 3G products."
ANADIGICS' HELP(TM) WCDMA PAs use the Company's exclusive InGaP-Plus(TM) technology, which integrates bipolar and field-effect transistor (FET) structures on the same InGaP GaAs die. The new HELP(TM) WCDMA PAs offer quiescent currents of 16 milliamp or lower, provide leakage currents of less than 1 microamp, and are optimized for all output power levels to deliver 50% less average power consumption. The PAs are offered in a 10-pin 4 mm by 4 mm by 1.1 mm surface-mount package designed for applications that require European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) solutions.
