Intel Announces New vPro Platform with 13th Gen Intel Core

What’s New: Intel today introduced the new Intel vPro® platform powered by the full lineup of 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors. Built for business, Intel vPro addresses their ever-changing needs by delivering the most comprehensive security1, necessary hardware for companies in need of a PC refresh and increased productivity for all employees. This year, the expansive commercial portfolio will deliver more than 170 notebooks, desktops and entry workstations from partners including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Fujitsu, Panasonic and Samsung.

“For nearly two decades, we’ve been committed to our mission of delivering products and technologies that keep organizations running and workers productive. With our new 13th Gen Intel Core processors, the Intel vPro platform remains the premier business computing foundation, providing the best in security, business management and performance for organizations of all sizes.”

–Stephanie Hallford, Intel vice president and general manager of the Commercial Client Division

Why Intel vPro is the Business Computing Foundation of Choice: Intel's new vPro platform offers critical threat prevention with dozens of security capabilities built deep in the silicon, helping reduce attack surface by an estimated 70% versus 4-year-old PCs.2 New IT-enabled memory encryption will also take virtualization-based security to a game-changing level in Windows. Customers will have more choice with endpoint detection and response (EDR) vendors enabled with Intel® Threat Detection Technology, bringing higher-efficacy detection of the latest threats. And as the only business platform with all of this and built-in hardware security to detect ransomware and software supply chain attacks, Intel vPro has the most comprehensive security offering in the industry.

The new vPro platform is based on the 13th Gen Intel Core processors offering a hybrid architecture with new Performance-cores, more Efficient-cores on select offerings, smarter task classification with Intel® Thread Director and better energy efficiency with Intel® Dynamic Tuning Technology. Coupled with leading technologies like Intel® Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+), Thunderbolt™ 4 and the validation of the Intel® Evo™ platform with superior experiences like intelligent collaboration, Intel vPro devices are optimized for modern business computing.

Performance improvements for Intel vPro designs with 13th Gen Intel Core include:

  • Up to 65% faster Windows application performance versus 3-year-old desktop PC.3

  • Up to 45% faster content creation while multitasking than a current AMD desktop.4

  • Up to 2.3 times faster Windows application performance versus 3-year-old mobile PC.5

  • Up to 40% faster Windows application performance versus a current AMD notebook6 and up to 25% faster business application performance versus Apple M2.7

  • Up to 58% faster report generation while collaborating than a current AMD notebook.

For edge application developers,  13th Gen Intel Core processors on Intel vPro platforms provide edge processing performance, remote device manageability, powerful security tools and much more to unleash the power of their data. They are ideal for applications in retail, banking, hospitality, education, healthcare, manufacturing and others.

Why It Matters: According to a recent report from IDC, Intel-based Windows PCs have a 26% lower risk of major PC-related security events compared with other Windows PCs.9 In today’s business climate, refreshing to the latest hardware is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Companies of all sizes are fighting to better defend against the latest security threats, improve employee productivity and enable optimal experiences like videoconferencing.

With the introduction of Intel vPro Enterprise and Intel vPro Essentials last year, Intel technologies are accessible to users and organizations of all sizes. Today, a small or medium-size business, large enterprise, public sector organization or academic institution can acquire the right set of Intel vPro capabilities to deliver the best computing foundation for their unique needs.
