DAYTON, OHIO – May 19, 2022 – The National Frame Building Association has released a new curriculum entitled Basic Principles for Post-Frame Construction. The curriculum is available to all, NFBA members and non-members.
“As post-frame construction grows in popularity, it’s increasingly important for those in the construction industry to know the unique benefits, as well as the requirements for success,” says Robyn Ommen, Vice President of NFBA. “This curriculum provides a comprehensive introduction to post-frame and is perfect for onboarding and continued training programs.”
The curriculum begins with a history of post-frame construction and information about how to become a professional in the post-frame industry. It continues to chapters focusing on:
- Post-Frame Basics and Terminology
- Math Foundations
- Reading Plans and Specifications
- Basic Carpentry
- Site Preparation
- Post-Frame Foundations
- Structural Framing
The curriculum includes The NFBA curriculum textbook, a study guide, and answer reference, which can be purchased separately or together. NFBA members are given a substantial discount on the cost of these materials. Additionally, volume discounts are available on orders of 20 or more.
