Gotschall has 34 years of experience in the design and construction of airfields, roadways and underground utilities, as well as in project coordination and communication, contract management and budget management.

Gotschall has managed aviation programs from runway replacements and extensions to terminal apron reconstruction and valve-controlled glycol collection programs. Through his tenure with Columbus Regional Airport Authority, where he worked for more than 30 years, Gotschall managed the Runway 10R-28L replacement program that made John Glenn Columbus International the first commercial airport in the country to go to an all-LED runway lighting system.
