Must-see content puts future of additive manufacturing center stage
(CHICAGO, August 16, 2021) â� More than 150 of the additive manufacturing (AM) industry's most prominent voices will come together in Chicago at McCormick Place to lead conversations at SME’s RAPID + TCT event Sept. 13-15, 2021. RAPID + TCT, North America's largest and most influential AM event, gives attendees exclusive access to learn real-world AM solutions from the industry’s most respected experts and network with thousands of industry peers. SME Executive Director & CEO Robert Willig made the announcement.

Each day RAPID + TCT 2021 will begin with keynote presentations from the industry’s most innovative leaders highlighting real-world examples of the incredible applications of AM. These three visionary speakers include:
� Melissa Orme, PhD, vice president of The Boeing Co., providing extensive insight on how AM is disrupting the aerospace industry.
â�£ Terry Wohlers, Dr. h.c., FSME, Principal Consultant and President of Wohlers Associates Inc., shedding light on AM’s impact on startups and the overall economy.
� Mark Wehde, chair, Division of Engineering, Mayo Clinic, illustrating how this technology is changing the healthcare industry.
Throughout the remainder of the three-day event, attendees will learn how new, emerging technologies are transforming a wide variety of industries and what organizations can do to stay ahead of the competition. With programming dedicated to Medical AM and more than 70 interactive conference presentations centered on evaluation, adoption and optimization set to take place, attendees will have the opportunity to hear more than 150 industry leaders speak on the latest processes, applications and research. Speakers from global industry leaders will also come together to discuss industry trends, the impact of marketplace demands on AM and AM advancements in 11 thought leadership panels.
For the first time ever, event organizers are launching the RAPID + TCT LIVE! Digital Experience app, where attendees can participate remotely and access materials post-show. All keynote and panel discussions will be live streamed on the app with additional content uploaded post-show.
Reinforcing AM’s potential impact on all of manufacturing, RAPID + TCT attendees can also take advantage of complimentary access to the FABTECH exposition, the largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event in North America.
