According to GfK's latest purchasing power study, Europeans have an average of €13,894 per person available for spending and saving in 2020. This is a nominal decline of almost 5.3 percent compared to last year's revised value, which can be attributed mainly to the spread of COVID-19 and the resulting economic impact. But the gap between rich and poor in the 42 evaluated countries is substantial: Liechtenstein tops the rankings with €64,240 per person, while last-ranked Ukraine has just €1,703 per person.
