OGC Renews Memorandum Of Understanding With FrontierSI

OGC and FrontierSI continue to work together to reach out, innovate, and educate at national, regional, and international levels.

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) announces that it has re-signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Australian geospatial not-for-profit, FrontierSI.

FrontierSI is is a partner-based research organisation with expertise in positioning, geodesy, spatial infrastructures, and rapid spatial analytics.

Graeme Kernich, FrontierSI CEO said “We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with OGC and are excited at the opportunity to continue to promote the value of open standards in geospatial.”

“FrontierSI already partners with existing OGC members including Geoscience Australia, Curtin University, Land Information New Zealand, UNSW, AAM Group, Omnilink, and PSMA, so the overlap is not only strategic but mutually beneficial.”

Nadine Alameh, OGC CEO, said “Our Memorandum of Understanding with FrontierSI is an important step forward for the global geospatial sector. OGC is committed to connecting communities and technology within and across domains. We are excited to continue the partnership with FrontierSI as we work together on joint activities to reach out, innovate, and educate at national, regional, and international levels.”

The collaboration between the two industry-leading organisations will ensure that research results can be rapidly mobilised into broad national, regional, and worldwide applications. The organisations will identify and align research projects via planned and ongoing testbeds, pilot projects, and innovation experiments to encourage further investment.
