(Silicon Mitus), an advanced specialist in Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) and Audio Semiconductor Solution, launched the SM4805, a highly integrated multi-output PMIC which successfully meets UHD TV LCD panel application requirements. The device has an input voltage range of 10.2 V to 14.7 V, and it is the first single chip available on the market capable of powering large UHD TV LCD panels.

Silicon Mitus, Inc., an advanced specialist in Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) and Audio Semiconductor Solution, launched the SM4805. It is highly integrated multi-output PMIC which successfully meets UHD TV LCD panel application requirements. The AVDD boost controller drives the external switches to deliver high power at voltages required by the application. Three buck converters regulate output voltages in the range of 0.8 V to 3.5 V with an output current of up to 2.5 A, and the output voltages and power up sequence are programmable through the digital interface. The SM4805 also includes 4-channel gamma buffers and two VCOM op-amps that feature low noise output. Despite accomplishing a high degree of integration, the device runs at a lower temperature due to highly efficient DC-DC converters based on specialized IPs.
