For 15 Years ASCENT has helped prepare United Association union members for new technologies and processes like BIM and Reality Capture
Baltimore, MD — February 18, 2019 — Processes such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and software tools like Autodesk Revit are critical to the success of any major construction project. Members of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry are focused on adopting technologies that bring efficiencies to the phases of the construction process in which they are involved. Part of this adoption comes in the form of training, and ASCENT will be on hand at the 2019 Pipe Trades Training and Technology Conference in San Diego on February 19 and 20 showcasing learning solutions to help union members thrive in this new era of tracking and model data sharing.
“Our strength is supplying learning content and instructional design services that help union members quickly adopt and implement methodologies like BIM and Reality Capture, and their associated technologies, so they can capitalize on the technology benefits these platforms provide,” says Paul Burden, director of product development for ASCENT. “We are excited to play a supporting role for readying members of the pipe trades to be catalysts who will embrace new technologies and guide the future direction of the pipefitting trade.”
