EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Oct. 3, 2018 – New technologies introduced in the V14 release of the NI AWR Design Environment platform will be showcased in a three-part webinar series presented by NI AWR software E-Learning director and electromagnetic (EM) technologist Dr. John Dunn. The V14 release focuses on all stages of RF/microwave design with an emphasis on accelerating design starts through three powerful design-assist modules: the printed circuit board (PCB) import wizard for an enhanced PCB/module EM verification flow, the network synthesis wizard for impedance-matching and the phased-array generator wizard for multiple-in-multiple-out (MIMO)/beam-steering antenna systems being employed in 5G communications and advanced drive-assist system (ADAS)-enabled vehicles.
To support ever-increasing functionality, PCBs are utilizing more complex board structures operating at high-frequencies. In the first webinar, Dr. Dunn will examine changing EM verification requirements for PCBs targeting RF/wireless applications and recent capabilities in the PCB import wizard that enable designers to isolate and characterize critical traces through complex multi-layer configurations.
The complete webinar series includes:
- October 11 – RF PCB Design Verification and Flows
- November 28 – Using Network Synthesis to Accelerate Matching Circuit Design
- December 12 – Phased-Array 5G Antenna Design
All webinars in this series begin at 9 a.m. PT. Advance registration is required. For more information about the NI AWR Software V14 New Technologies Webinar Series and to register, visit awrcorp.com/news/events/event/webinar-rf-pcb-design-verification-and-flows.
