Software to manage business licenses and regulated services for city
PLANO, Texas — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 19, 2018 — Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced it has signed an agreement with the city of Atlanta, Georgia, for Tyler’s EnerGov™ civic services solution. The agreement includes EnerGov Citizen Self Service, EnerGov Permitting and Land Management, EnerGov Licensing and Regulatory Management, Tyler Cashiering™, Esri® GIS integration, and EnerGov iG Workforce mobile apps.
Among many other critical processes, the city’s Office of Revenue manages applications for business licensing and excise tax, which includes administering, issuing and renewing licenses, and collecting annual payments related to them. The city is currently using an in-house application for these processes, but the application lacks the functionality to keep up with the growing needs of the city’s staff.
Tyler responded to an RFP from the city seeking a solution that would manage the city’s business licenses and regulated services. The city ultimately selected Tyler because of EnerGov’s strong reporting and analytics offering, advanced self-service capabilities for citizens, open architecture design, and robust GIS platform.
EnerGov licensing and regulatory management suite will manage and process approximately $400 million in annual business tax and licensing related revenues for Atlanta. The solution will also process, renew, and send out payments related to licenses completely online, which wasn’t possible before. EnerGov’s open architecture will easily integrate with the city’s various systems, which will streamline processes for its staff.
