MACOM’s new MATA-07825 is a high sensitivity TIA enabling SFP+ module vendors to provide 12G-SDI modules which can also support Pathological patterns down to SD rates. This TIA features sensitivity of 11.88Gbps to enable link budgets of more than 10km using a PIN photodiode on singlemode fiber, and can support longer distances with an Avalanche Photo-Diode (APD). “There are a number of applications which rely on SDI over optical fiber for extended reaches,” said Mike Fukatsu, Senior Director, Marketing, for the High-Performance Analog business unit, at MACOM. “MACOM’s new TIA is the first to enable 12G-SDI over optical fiber including pathological support all the way down to Standard Definition rates, which is aimed at ensuring compatibility with legacy SDI video streams.”

MACOM’s MATA-07825 TIA will be showcased at NAB 2018, Booth #N3908, April 9th-12th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. To make an appointment, contact your local sales representative. For more information on MACOM’s broadcast video portfolio, please visit: www.macom.com.
