REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The
Electronic System Design Alliance (ESD Alliance), today confirmed
AMIQ EDA of Bucharest, Romania, became a member of the growing international association of companies providing goods and services throughout the semiconductor design ecosystem.
AMIQ EDA, a pioneer in integrated development environments (IDEs) for hardware design and verification-specific languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL and e, joins other new ESD Alliance members
Breker Verification Systems and
Minima Processor.
“We believe that alliances are essential to deliver best-in-class products, especially in the semiconductor industry,” affirms Cristian Amitroaie, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of AMIQ EDA. “The ESD Alliance is an important venue for the electronic system design ecosystem to collaborate on issues our users care about, such as interoperability, conformance to industry standards, and a reasonably consistent licensing model. As a software supplier, we also need to be aware of work with the various export regulations in the industry.”
AMIQ EDA’s DVT Eclipse IDE, a de facto standard for design and verification source code development, improves daily productivity by enabling faster and smarter code development and simplifying legacy code maintenance for novices and experts alike. Its Verissimo SystemVerilog testbench linter enables engineers to enforce group or corporate coding guidelines to ensure consistency and best practices in code development.
“We offer a hearty welcome to AMIQ EDA, a significant player in the industry and our first member from Romania,” says Bob Smith, executive director of the ESD Alliance. “Founded by former design consultants, it takes a user-centered design and verification approach and has a commitment to properly understanding and solving user requirements, both laudable achievements for any company.”
