Nov 29, 2017 -- Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that the firm has become a member organization of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Coalition. The USGS Coalition is an alliance of more than 80 organizations united by a commitment to the continued vitality of USGS and its ability to provide critical data and services to the nation.
Throughout the year, the USGS Coalition organizes and participates in activities that support the work of USGS, including a reception and exhibition on Capitol Hill, where members of congress are recognized for their leadership. The organization also sponsors science briefings for policymakers.
Dewberry has a long, productive relationship with USGS. Recent assignments include leading a lidar mapping project in northern California as well as numerous other projects in support of the USGS’ 3D Elevation Program. “With nearly a 20-year relationship with USGS, we look forward to continuing to support the organization through our involvement in the USGS Coalition,” said Senior Vice President Phil Thiel.
