September 26, 2017 -- Arithmetica has launched a new version of its 360-degree imaging system at Intergeo this week. SphereVision 1.4, which is already available for download at www.spherevision.com, offers a range of new functionality together with an improved user interface. The product will be on show at Booth C2.055 Hall 2.1 at Intergeo in Berlin from 26-28 September 2017.
SphereVision 1.4 allows PDF documents to be imported as base maps onto which additional imagery, floor plans and asset information can be added. Users can also place hotspots for referencing additional data onto the base map and into the 360 imagery workflow. New functionality for the addition of notes has been introduced and the software interface has been made more intuitive and user friendly.
To celebrate the launch Arithmetica is offering new users of SphereVision Project Builder a Ricoh Theta Camera when they purchase the software between 26th September and 13th October 2017. Visitors to the leading trade fair for the geospatial community will also be given the first glimpses of SphereVision 2.0, which includes the ability to view projects in Virtual Reality mode, and the SphereVision Portal, due for release later this year.
“Intergeo is the place to be this week attracting more than 17,000 visitors, from 107 countries and was therefore the natural choice for officially launching SphereVision 1.4,” commented Mark Senior, Business Development Manager at Arithmetica. “We are also very excited to be able to offer a sneak preview of future developments which will be launched to market later this year.”
Also on show at Intergeo is Version 2.0 of SphereVision, due for release later this year, which will allow users to view projects in VR mode, using HTC Vive headsets, giving a truly immersive interaction with the rich media content captured by SphereVision and created within the Project Builder software. Arithmetica will also be previewing SphereVision Portal the inline hosting, viewing and collaboration platform designed to give users an easy way to share and view project data.
“These are exciting developments for users of 360 degree imagery,” continued Senior, “as they complete the circle for 360 imagery in terms of enhancing the imagery and video by tagging assets and also giving an easy solution for visualizing, sharing and collaboration.”
