Nashua, NH, Sep 20, 2017 -- Founder Jay Jacobs was joined by RAPID employees and the artist, Corey Stairs on Monday for the unveiling of the sculpture, “The Journey”. The nine-foot-tall, 1200 lb, stainless steel sculpture was designed and created by RAPID’s own Corey Stairs with the help of locally sourced and donated materials from Allmetals, Outdoor Creations, and The RAPID Group.
What started out as a passion project three years ago slowly turned into a local collaboration between 3 companies, numerous volunteers and hundreds of manual hours resulting in the beautiful sculpture permanently on display at 22 Charon Avenue titled, “The Journey”. The name of the piece was inspired by one of the company’s core values, to “Enjoy The Journey”, repeated to all employees by Jacobs on a regular basis.
Stairs thanked Jacobs and other contributors during the ceremony stating, “This project would not have been made possible without the support from Jay, TRG, Allmetals, Outdoor Creations, David Wagstaff, Dave Pincince, Jairo Ganzales, Justin Surette, Frank Caprio, Jeff Szadis, and Kevin Bernier.” Stairs hopes that the sculpture will be a daily reminder to those passing by to enjoy the journey for years to come.
