TE Connectivity Introduces Cabled STRADA Whisper Connectors

New Solution Delivers 25-50 Gbps Performance with Low Insertion Loss & High Flexibility

HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 23, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, today announced its cabled STRADA Whisper product line. Cabled STRADA Whisper connectors eliminate the need for printed circuit board (PCB) backplanes to achieve improved performance and flexibility as data speeds increase. Ideal for high performance computing (HPC) and core routing applications, among others, these new connectors continue to offer the same best-in-class electrical and signal integrity (SI) performance of the STRADA Whisper product family, and can support 25-56 Gbps PAM-4, with future expansion to 56 Gbps NRZ. Cabled STRADA Whisper connectors also reduce insertion loss for improved channel margin and allow for more creative system architecture design possibilities.

TE Connectivity’s Cabled STRADA Whisper connectors eliminate the need for printed circuit board (PCB) backplanes to achieve improved performance and flexibility as data speeds increase.

By not being tied to a PCB, connection options are expanded. TE offers three main cabled STRADA Whisper solutions: point-to-point cable, value-add assemblies and a full backplane/midplane solution.
