Des Plaines, IL, August 9, 2017 -- All professional planners who are members of the American Planning Association's professional institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), must engage in mandatory continuing education to maintain their certification. AICP members must earn a total of 32 CM credits (1 contact hour = 1 CM credit) within their two-year reporting period.
URISA is an AICP-approved Certification Maintenance (CM) provider and is pleased to offer ample CM credits for two upcoming conferences:
- URISA's 2017 Transit GIS Conference (September 6-8 in Washington DC) was approved for 46.5 CM credits.
- GIS-Pro 2017 (October 23-26 in Jacksonville, FL) was approved for 40.0 CM credits.
The AICP Certification Maintenance program helps planners gain the knowledge and skills they need to remain current in their practice. URISA events support planners in their use of technology, data, and analytics.
