IronCAD 2017 Delivers Performance and Reductions in Design Workflows

Faster, Better and Easier Fabrication and Assembly Design

ATLANTA GA, November 30th, 2016 - IronCAD, a leading provider of design productivity solutions, today announced their 2017 IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite release which focuses on making it significantly faster to work with large data sets and reducing the overall design time from concept to production detailing. Among the noticeable developments are faster save and load times for large assemblies in upwards of 30% improvement, 10X faster graphics performance when interacting with large assemblies, faster regeneration times on complex models and faster updates on 2D drawings of larger assemblies.

A majority of IronCAD’s customers are involved in the creation of large complex machines with many thousands of parts, factory automation layouts and other assembly layout processes. This is due to IronCAD’s innovative approach to assembly design which makes it vastly superior compared to other tools available in the market today. Because of this, there are needs for these users to be able to work with extremely large data sets interacting between both the 3D and 2D environments. These newest enhancements to IronCAD have proven to show great improvements in these areas as verified by our customers and resellers during our beta programs.

In addition to these enhancements, there have been many improvements to general modeling and detailing environments to reduce the overall design time from concept to production drawings. Improvements in the modeling area include 2D sketch, sweeping, and sheet metal. 2D detailing has been improved in both the IronCAD detailing environments and the Draft detailing environment with such enhancements as revision tables, BOM Editing, and improved processes to commands. All considered there are over 100+ enhancements in the 2017 release.

IronCAD's 2017 new features continue to make it the most productive design application for large assembly design on the market today. To view the full list of improvements, visit http://www.ironcad.com/whatsnew for a comprehensive list with videos presenting the features.

Cary O'Connor, Vice President of Marketing at IronCAD, stated, "This release makes working with large assemblies even easier than before with fluid movement and interaction and the feedback we have gotten from our customers during the beta program has been outstanding. At IronCAD we take pride in creating the best tools for our customers and with 2017, we continue to deliver to that goal."
