Berlin, Germany, October 12, 2016 -- Berlin software firm virtualcitySYSTEMS has developed a new module to present planning scenarios for use with 3D modelling in urban areas at INTERGEO: virtualcityPLANNER. This module makes it easy to create and publish planning scenarios. It supports the uploading of 3D models, their positioning in virtual urban environments and the masking of existing buildings. It also offers rights-based management of the planning scenarios created. Polygon drawing functions, commenting functions and functions for uploading other materials round out the module. This also enables collaborative work on the model.
The virtualcityPLANNER forms part of the Berlin software firm’s virtualcitySUITE. The suite includes a database solution for managing and archiving 3D city models. The integrated authoring system offers interactive applications for 3D web-mapping. virtualcitySUITE also enables users to prepare 3D data in target-group-specific formats automatically and to publish any point clouds and aerial photos as well as 3D geodata on the internet.
Thanks to the modular design of the virtualcitySUITE, users can combine individual solutions according to their requirements. All modules are available either as software for use in users’ own infrastructure or can be ordered from virtualcitySYSTEMS as hosting solutions.
