This was the highest among leading players such as Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics, and Avago Technologies and foundries such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC). An important aspect to note is that the top five R&D spenders were unchanged from 2014.

Segments such as CAE, semiconductor IP, IC physical design and verification, PCB and MCM, and services add up to drive the growth of the global EDA market.
