Aug 31, 2016 -- Lombard, IL- Overcoming stiff competition from other Snap-on facilities around the country, the Milwaukee Snap-on plant was awarded 1st place in the “Operations” category at the 2016 Snap-on RCI Convention, held Feb. 24th-26th.
Peter Zinda the Manufacturing and Systems Analyst for the Milwaukee plant shared one of the secrets for their success,
“We have been working with PortCNC and using eNETDNC now for over 10 years for program downloads. Within the last 2 years we installed the eNET Machine Monitoring solution on many of our machining cells. Utilizing the actual cycle time data we gathered, we were able to demonstrate how even a few second improvement in machine cycle time can significantly increase product output. This played a key role in the Milwaukee plant winning 1st place in the Operations category at the 2016 Snap-on Corporate RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) Convention.” The big win by the Milwaukee Snap-on plant has led to interest in eNETDNC & Machine Monitoring from additional Snap-on facilities seeking increased machine efficiency, the secret is definitely out!
Peter also added, “Over time we have found that eNET has been a solid performer and prompt support is just a phone call away. We especially appreciate being able to have the software customized to meet our specific needs without incurring a huge expense. Top notch all the way.” eNETDNC will be showcasing all their latest Machine Monitoring updates at IMTS 2016, in booth #E-3316.
