Gyeonggi-do and Gyeonggi Contents Agency supervised the event closely. KOCCA and Unity made the event possible by sponsoring it. Twenty-three teams and 130 participants partook in the event, developing games for a full 72 hours. The theme of this Gamejam was "Summer Story," and this theme inspired a great number of teams with brilliant ideas. There were some games that drew great attention, other games that showcased great developing skills or personal growth.
'Mosquito VR' by team 'ㅁㄴㄹㅇ' is a game in which the player takes on the role of a mosquito, in which the main goal is to attack humans.
'The World of Awesome JUICE' by team 'STOP USING FACT' is a game that a player attacks fruits to make juice out of them.
The most outstanding game of all was a virtual reality game in which the player explores a dreary mansion. 'Someone in the Hallway' by team 'Horoller' 'Hyung-Joo Kim said: "Luckily, G-Next Gamejam provided us with the equipment to develop for Virtual Reality. This is our first time creating a Virtual Reality game, but I always wanted to make one. I want to create more games like this in the future."
The games that were created during the festival are accessible on Jam page of the indie game platform 'Gamejolt'. ( http://jams.gamejolt.io/gnextgamejam). Pictures or videos can be found at http://jams.gamejolt.io/gnextgamejam or https://www.facebook.com/GNEXTGAMEJAM1/.
