Harriman and The Cecil Group Open Portsmouth, NH Office

New location allows multi-disciplinary design firm to extend geographic reach

PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire – August 23, 2016 Harriman and The Cecil Group, a newly merged architecture, engineering,urban design, planning, and landscape architecture firm are excited to announce the opening of their new location in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  The office address is 33 Jewel Court in Portsmouth’s West End.  The new location positions Harriman closer to existing clients and aligns with the firm’s other offices to strengthen collaborative efforts.

Greim, P.E., president and CEO of Harriman. “Our new Portsmouth location offers our current and prospective employees a diverse mix of urban amenities and civic spaces, while providing the firm with ample space for future growth. The new office occupies 2,800 SF office in the historic Scald House, a meticulously renovated two-story brick office building situated minutes from Downtown Portsmouth and less than one mile from I-95.  The Harriman designed fit-out was built by Portsmouth-based construction manager Alternative Solutions.  The space opened on August 1, completing the firm’s New Hampshire office transition from Manchester to Portsmouth.

Harriman’s current projects in the area include North End Portsmouth, a 72,600 SF five story mixed-use project by development firm HarborCorp LLC.  It will transform a large parking lot into a mix of retail, hotel, residential and a conference center, designed to seamlessly blend into Portsmouth’s historic district.  In addition, Harriman continues a long history of architectural and engineering projects on the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Durham campus.
