New Staff Join Avineon’s Geospatial Team
Saint Petersburg, Florida – August 2, 2016 – Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, today announced the addition of key staff in its geospatial business unit.
Martin Roche has joined the team as Director of GIS Services and Solutions, managing the complete line of Avineon’s geospatial offerings. Mr. Roche has over 25 years of experience supporting GIS implementations in a wide range of industries and government organizations. He earned a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Clemson University. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Affairs from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). In addition to a distinguished career in the GIS industry, most recently managing a nationwide data collection effort in the Middle East, Mr. Roche has served as a volunteer in several prominent professional organizations. He currently serves as the President of the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) and as a board member of the Urban and Reginal Information Services Association (URISA).
In addition, Kevin Faus has been appointed to Avineon’s utility sales team. Mr. Faus has spent more than 20 years supporting customers in the electric, gas, water, and telecommunications markets for both software and services providers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University. His GIS technology and systems development expertise will support expansion in utility services and solutions.
