HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA --(Marketwired - July 27, 2016) - Corecon Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based construction estimating, project management and job cost software, today announced the next generation of its construction software suite. Quick and intuitive, the new version of Corecon enables commercial and residential construction firms to easily and proactively manage job opportunities and current projects from their office or jobsite using any Wi-Fi enabled device.
The comprehensive platform includes modules for estimating, project management, job cost control, and scheduling. Additionally, a new module for quality control and safety is now available in the latest version. Providing a holistic and efficient solution for managing business operations throughout the construction project lifecycle, Corecon continues to integrate with popular accounting software and has online team collaboration functionality via its TeamLink Portal.
The most significant enhancement in the modernized version of Corecon is its new user interface that increases speed and improves functionality. The revamped interface also displays information in a clean and intuitive format, enabling easy implementation of the software and shortening training time for new users.
A pull down menu on the home page replaces views found in the previous version. Located in the upper left hand corner of the page, the menu houses various landing pages arranged by Contact Management, Leads, Projects, HR, Vendor Hub Email and Analytics. Each landing page is logically organized and provides a transparent view of project-related information.
The new Quality Control and Safety landing page in Corecon helps construction firms mitigate risk and costs associated with rework by incorporating modules for checklists, compliance notices, permits, punch list items, safety accidents and test/inspection. The page features color-coded graphics to easily view the status of open or closed items. It also displays an analysis of due dates-items due in seven days, due in greater than seven days or overdue.
The comprehensive views within each module help users gain more insight into their projects, providing proactive management capability. A new vendor hub enables cross-project reporting on procurement transactions such as purchase orders, bills, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders and subcontractor invoices. Pre-defined alerts for each feature also foster proactive management by identifying records with missing information or other issues requiring attention.
Supporting a mobile workforce, the advanced interface improves navigation for field staff when using standard-size tablets to access Corecon via web browser. The interface also has increased compatibility with cloud-based accounting solutions such as Intuit QuickBooks Online.
"By listening closely to our customers and understanding their daily operational needs, we have built a modern user interface, incorporating all elements of a construction firm's operations into one technologically-advanced, yet easily executed construction management tool," said Corecon Technologies President Norman Wendl. "This is our most significant upgrade since the launch of Corecon v7 in 2010, and we are excited about the value our next generation of Corecon will bring to small and medium-sized construction firms and their clients."
Existing Corecon users can take advantage of the new version of Corecon immediately. A new help system is available online, along with weekly live training webinars.
