Attendees to Explore Smart GIS Solutions for Water Utilities
Redlands, California—June 15, 2016— Esri, the global leader in geographic information system (GIS) technology, will be in attendance at the American Water Works Association Annual Conference and Exhibition (AWWA ACE) in Chicago, Illinois,June 19–22. AWWA ACE is a highly sought out domestic event for the water industry. Just this past year, the conference had more than 15,000 attendees, with approximately 900 presenters hosting 1,169 booths.
Esri will be demonstrating the ArcGIS platform at booth #1839 and providing impactful information for water, wastewater, and storm water use. Demos will include solutions that enable utilities to isolate leaks instantaneously, share planned and unplanned outage information with customers, push urgent alerts to decision-makers' phones and in-boxes, and comply proactively with water conservation as well as other regulations. Esri's mission is to help water utilities do more than put a water utility network on a smart map.
"What we have developed is more than just GIS," said Esri's David Totman. "At its core, ArcGIS is a vehicle that can transform a utility's culture in such a way that it can mirror sound business practice."
