A new chapter in the books of Indian and Guatemalan history was written when the first ever Indo-Guatemala Cultural Forum was launched by H.E. Georges de La Roche Du Ronzet, Ambassador of Guatemala to India. A poster of the forum was also released in the august presence of film, television, media, art and culture personalities of the country at Noida Film City.

The grand opening was attended by Boney Kapoor, renowned film maker and past President of Film Federation of India who said, "The two countries are now going to see a bigger vision of how to develop relations through art and culture. This is the right way to proceed further."
"We are more than happy to nominate the renowned international media personality Sandeep Marwah, five time World Record Holder as the Chairperson of Indo-Guatemala Cultural Forum. His experience is going to be our progress," said H.E. Georges de La Roche Ambassador of Guatemala to India while honoring and nominating Marwah as chairperson of the forum.
The launch of the forum was followed by the first ever film festival of films from Guatemala. Four films have been part of this two-day event designed to attract the students of film, television and media from all over India and abroad at Asian Academy of Film and Television and Asian School of Media Studies.
"ICMEI has grown today with this venture and our reach has touched the Central American Countries. Our sole purpose of spreading love, peace and unity through art and culture has moved further. I am honored that the Government of Guatemala has recognized our efforts," said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI.
"It is another feather in the cap of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry when Indo-Guatemala Cultural Forum has become so active with its inception," expressed Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI.
The ambassador earlier inaugurated two major exhibitions at Marwah Studios. The painting exhibition by Swapan Kumar Sarkar and posters and photographs exhibition by the Cultural Ministry of Guatemala showcasing the colorful locations, people and way of life of Guatemala.
"We are thankful to Marwah Studios, ICMEI, AAFT and all other organizations who have participated in this international festival of films from Guatemala. We welcome you all to our country to have best of time," added Danilo R. Marcucci, Minister Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission.
Later Sandeep Marwah honored the ambassador and other guests with the life membership of International Film and Television Club of AAFT.
