EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – March 23, 2016 – The winners of the 2015 Xidian Unversity NI AWR Software Student Design Competition announced. Organized in conjunction with the Electronics Engineering Institute at Xidian University, the contest ran for five months and included the use of NI AWR Design Environment™ for the design of novel microwave circuits.
The contest resulted in more than 40 projects being submitted for review and consideration. In the end, the first place winning team of XinXing Liu, JianJun Wu and ZeDong Wang were presented with cash prizes and award certificates at a ceremony held on November 24, 2015 at the University’s North Campus in Xi'an, China. Additional prizes and certificates were awarded to the second and third place finishing teams.
NI, through its NI AWR Design Environment platform, seeks to sponsor student design competitions in order to jumpstart the careers of future RF/microwave engineers with real-world design experiences using NI AWR software. Xidian University, as a key Chinese national university providing world-class electronics engineering education and training, is an ideal venue for an Asia Pacific-based competition.
